Katie Zager is a Research Associate who uses mapping and spatial analysis to shed light on some of our region's most important issues. With a BA in Geography from Macalester College and an MA in Geography from UNC Charlotte, Zager brings a wealth of knowledge to her research.One of her major projects at the Urban Institute include the Quality of Life Explorer, an online tool to explore the social, housing, economic, environmental, and safety conditions in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. Other research interests include health and healthcare access, urban rural connections, and the use of community indicators.
