Where on campus is the institute?
The institute is in Sycamore, with the main office at street level from Mary Alexander Road. From the main entrance to the campus off N.C. 49 (University City Boulevard) follow Broadrick Boulevard, turn right at the roundabout, and follow Mary Alexander Road to East Deck (just before the traffic signal). Turn right to access East Deck 1 for Visitor Parking. Once parked, walk back to Mary Alexander Road, turn left and walk toward the Botanical Gardens. Walk past the Gardens and Sycamore will be the first building on your right, across from the new Science Building under construction at the corner of Craver and Mary Alexander.
Sycamore is the first building on the right, just past the Botanical Gardens. The entrance is at street level. After entering, please proceed to the reception area.
From the Lynx Blue Line Light Rail
Take the Blue Line Lynx to UNC Charlotte Main Station. From the UNC Charlotte Main Station to Sycamore:
- Walk out of the station and cross over Cameron Boulevard.
- Turn left on Cameron Boulevard and walk uphill towards Mary Alexander Road.
- At the Student Health Center, at the traffic light at the corner of Mary Alexander and Cameron Boulevard, cross over Mary Alexander and turn right.
- Continue along Mary Alexander, and Sycamore will be on your left (across from McMillan Greenhouse).
This is about a 10 minute walk.
