A Charlotte native, Andrew Bowen leads the development of long-term technology strategies that align citywide departmental and community needs with IT capabilities. His work ensures that technology investments are prioritized, coordinated, and positioned to drive innovation and efficiency across the city. In his previous role, Bowen was closely involved in the development and ongoing use of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Quality of Life Explorer, as well as the City of Charlotte Open Data Portal and other Smart Cities initiatives. He is an expert in data analytics, public and local data resources, and geography.
