Khou Xiong is the director of community research services at the Charlotte Urban Institute. She serves as the day-to-day manager of the Institute’s research team, and has the primary responsibility to manage ongoing tasks that enable the team to provide research services for/with the Charlotte region.

Khou holds a master’s degree in public health. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked at UNC Chapel Hill as a research associate and provided technical expertise and operational and project management support for various research studies, including research on COVID, sexual reproductive health, adolescent health, health management information systems, and education. Her research portfolio also includes monitoring and evaluation, organizational network analysis, operational research, data quality assessments, and process and impact evaluation services for both governments and community organizations.
