Talking Policy: How should we maximize the impact of analysis?
The UNC Charlotte Public Policy Program, in Partnership with Gerald G. Fox Masters of Public Administration Program and the UNC Charlotte Urban Institute, will hold its 2nd annual Talking Policy in the Queen City event on October 2nd from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Center City campus.
This year, guest speaker Dr. Erik Godwin will focus on bridging the academic-practitioner gap regarding policy analysis. Dr. Godwin is the Director of the Office of Regulatory Reform at the Rhode Island Department of Administration and will discuss topics including:
- Avoiding common pitfalls of policy analysis in the federal, state, and local levels.
- How to maximize the impact of policy analysis at each level.
- Realizing the value of policy analysis to government systems and applying it.
This event will also commemorate the innumerable contributions of Professor Ken Godwin to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, and the Public Policy Program through the establishment of the R. Kenneth Godwin Memorial Fellowship.
